functions today. We can say that the great object which our

late President aimed at all his life has now been realized,

and from today we shall have an opportunity to continue our

President's work. Comrades!

Comrades! you must know that while we have such an opportunity, if we fail to continue our activity

and, thinking that our occupation of Nanking, and the

establishment there of our Nationalist Government can permit

the lowering of our spirits, do not make an effort to put the "Three Aspects of Democracy" into practice, we shall

become worse than we were before; and then we shall indeed

be sinners against our Kuomintang. Again, this is not all.

You must know that if our Nationalist Government and

Kuomintang fail to carry out all the projects and policies

enunciated by our late President, the present international situation and revolutionary circumstances will not, it is to be feared, permit the existence of China. The slackness and inactivity of China during the past 15 years have brought

about the present gloomy chaos, and if our Nationalist

Government still fails to shoulder all responsibility and we

people do not support the Nationalist Government with all sincerity, it will surely spell the destruction of China in

the immediate future. What mission has our Nationalist

Government? The Nationalist Government has for its mission

the salvation of China and the emancipation of our 400,000,0 fellow-countrymen. Therefore from today all our comrades should put forth more energy, otherwise we shall not be able

to be optimistic as to our revolutionary career. All of

you know that according to Chinese history, especially modern Chinese history, the spirit of any Revolution slack-

ens down on the establishment of a Capital at Nanking.

Generally the Revolutionists have not only slackened down

their energy, but have even assassinated one another until
